It does not replace trade judgment, but establishes a clearer and more comparable foundation for global evaluation.

Important note: Agarwood grade should be understood as a multi-factor evaluation rather than a single-variable judgment. A high grade agarwood is typically associated with strength across several dimensions, not one characteristic alone. Grading can differs from different nose, inspection and knowledge level.
Different and rare agarwood resination method may produce unique physical appearance and scent profile, which could be one of the sought after criteria for agarwood collectors.
